Professional basketball player, trainer, and founder of SuperSaine Basketball — using the game as a platform to inspire, teach, and develop the next generation.
Donovan Saine is a 6'5" forward from Detroit, Michigan, whose journey has taken him from one of America's most storied prep programs to the professional ranks across three continents.
He developed at Oak Hill Academy in Virginia, winning back-to-back NACA national championships, before college stops at Xavier University of Louisiana and Hocking College, where he became a featured scorer and earned OCCAC Player of the Week honors.
When the pandemic stalled his momentum, Donovan bet on himself. He traveled to Valencia, Spain for EuroProBasket's European Summer League, dominated, and earned his first professional contract — debuting with a 33-point, 20-rebound performance and averaging 23.7 points on the season. His career has since taken him to China's NBL, where he continues to compete at the professional level.
Through it all, Donovan has experienced new cultures, learned a new language, and built relationships and memories that reach far beyond the court. As a man of faith, he sees basketball as more than competition — it's a platform to inspire and positively impact others.
